This is Keisha, another awesome bride we have worked with! She and Landon married April 17th.... This is what we created from the bridal session.

Keisha and Landon were made for each other.  They both enjoy healthy lifestyles, working out, and pushing their bodies to the extreme, and are so much fun together!  When we first met with Landon, he told us he was blessed and that God was the reason for all that he had.   Keisha is the former Ms. Alabama from 2008, and you may have seen her on the cover of Alabama Weddings, and in her younger years, in Teen Magazine.  Landon  played baseball for Troy and now trains children for various sports at his gym, Coltz Sports Academy, and is a personal trainer for adults.
When Landon proposed to Keisha, he sent her on a scavenger hunt and had her dress up as Cinderella and he was Prince Charming, on Halloween!  She had to dig through a bowl of chocolate kisses and plastic lips and rings to find the next clue and ended up finding her engagement ring!  How cool is that?!  We photographed their engagement session at the beautiful Given’s home, and then did some cool work out shots at our gallery.... We are truly honored to be their friends and photographers.

Everything happens for a reason...

This past Thursday, I called to confirm a portrait session with the Blumbergs, that was scheduled for this past weekend.  When speaking to Laura she asked if we were available to photograph her nephew’s wedding because their photographer and niece, Jessica Lifland, could not make it because her flight was cancelled due to all of the snow!  Not only was her flight cancelled, but so were much of the family’s flights.  The snow was beautiful, but for Claudia and Ben, it changed their entire wedding plans, including venues for the ceremony and reception.  Ben’s parents had arranged for the visiting families to tour The Wiregrass Museum of Art and to have a tour of the  Murals around town, but because there was not enough people for the tour of murals, they cancelled it.  There was divine intervention, God definitely orchestrated all the details.  Ben and Claudia decided to get married in Dothan, because after one visit, they fell in love with it and everyone here.  On Friday, they were able to book the Temple for their ceremony, reserve the Dothan Country Club for the reception, invite more friends to the wedding, Dr. John (Ben’s father) was able to get necessary medicine he needed (the pharmacist  left it on the doorstep for him because he was not going to be able to pick up before close and Dr. John said he hadn’t even paid for it!), got a great photographer and a videographer, and to top it all off, had enough people to take the tour of murals!  Mark and I are very involved in the planning process of weddings we photograph, but at this point our focus was to just find out when and where everyone is going to be, and to make sure we had time to create something beautiful for Claudia, Ben and their family to cherish.  It was unfortunate that loved ones could not witness such a special time in Ben and Claudia’s life, we hope with the photographs they will be able to see what took place.  Mark and I were honored to be able to document the love displayed throughout the day, and honored to work with such an amazing family.   Here’s a sample of what we saw that day.....

This is Dylan.... Cowboy Up!!

The Dothan High Drama Club.... behind the scenes of what's to come.... Check it out!

My daughter, Annalese Green is the Director and President of the Drama Club of DHS.  She asked me to photograph one of their practices and make a slideshow for intermission.  So, like any Mom, I said yes.  And I'm so glad I did, what I witnessed was amazing!  There are about 30 cast members and Anna has the respect of all of them.  When she belts out commands, they know it's show time.   They really get into character and the play is hilarious!  It was written by Alyssa Newton, who is a student and is involved with the Drama Club.  

Opening night is Thursday night at 7pm and runs through Saturday night.  Come out and support the DHS Drama Club!  It will be money well spent!  Hope to see you there!
